Noise Proofing Your Stand

I saw this done only once before, but I think it will help make this stand more quiet than it already is. I havestarted going overmy entire LW Assault hang-on stand with hockey tape. It really does makea BIG difference, but it is super TIME CONSUMING. I've got 3 hrs into italready!
Has anyone else done this with any of your stands? I think when I'm done, I'll be happy I spent the time.:D

I noise proffed my Bullet Backpacker Summit last year..It folds up to 4inches and the metal to metal was killing my set up..so I camo duct taped all the metal to metal parts...It works like a charm

Duct tape, although I would avoid taping over structural welds; you should be looking these over each year for hairline cracks. Factory stands DO fail, and when they do you're the one on your way to the ground.

Thats a good idea tree climber......Here's another I have sprayed a couple with that rubberizedunder carriage spray for automitive use(comes in a aerosol can like spray paint) it dries flat blackand thenI would put just a little camo paint on it. Set it out for a couple weeks for the paint smell to burn off and it was the trick for those particular noisystands.....
