High Country Archery Question

I cannot get the "search" function to work, so sorry if this has already been discussed in this forum....

What can anyone tell me about High Country Archery bows? I shot one the other day, and it felt great...but it had a loud THUMP when the string hit the dual string stoppers.

Anyone out there shoot this bow? Anyone know anything about them??

Thanks!

RE: High Country Archery Question

I bought one (used) for my Girlfriend this spring and it's a real nice bow for what I spent. Hers is decently quiet and pretty forgiving as well. Everything that I've heard about HCA has been very positive as well. There are a few people on here that shoot HCAs so if wait until a bit later tonight (when people start logging on more:eek:) you may get a few more replies.

Ya pretty sure he's one of them. You may want to PM him Tarheel.

Great bows based on my experience. Very good customer service as well. The new HCA bows can be very very fast with their arrows. The noise could be dampened with some limbsavers, and silencers on the string. But like I said....from my experience the HCA bows are quality.

I shot them in the 90's. They were fast and fairly accurate and I won a room full of trophies; however there were noisy. I shot one 8 point buck which jumped the string, but I was lucky enough to hit it in the spine.
