My first bow kill
 

I got my first kill today with the bow. We were getting ready for dinner, and saw a groundhog in the back yard. I have tried to kill it several times, but they are very skitish. When I would open the rear door, he would run off. This time I shot through the kitchen window, it doesnt have a screen, and between the slats on the deck. He was about 20 yards, and I hit him right in the back of the head. No more holes in the yard:)

I took a pic from where I was standing, he was by the fence at the bottom of the yard, and one from where he was looking at the house.

I had put my target down there and shot from the deck to practice incase he showed up again. I hope no more show up, I hate them. And a squirl is about to get it because he has been eating my tomatoes.

Been tossin round the idea of strictly bowhunting rabbits on my farm. Seems to be the answer for accomodating all my friends without wiping them out.

I took 3 bunnies last year. I cannot even tell you how much fun this was. You need a little snow though; unless, you have a garden in the yard.

Sweet shot. I have one that's messin with my dogs. His day's are numbered and he doesn't even know it.[8D]I can't believ that you didn't hit the deck. I would have drilled the deck. I call those oppsshots, coat hangers.

My wife was like OMG, you hit it. I said what did you think was going to happen? You can see she has alot of faith in my aim. Only problem with shooting it was getting rid of it. We live in the city and I dont want it stinking up my yard.

Nice shot, they are a pita...2 years ago my neighbor had a family that dug in under his deck, it stunk so bad because they were peeing and stuff under there. He sat outside with his 22 one day and killed 7 of them. I couldnt believe how many there were. destrutive little sob's.

Neck shots are the recommended shot on the mighty land beaver! I skewered one once from about 40 yds, with a recurve no less. He ran down his hole after he snapped my arrow off at the entrance.
