Treestands

Hey guys, this season will be my fist and I need to buy a treestand. Can you recommend the best climbing treestand that will be used only for bowhunting and that is affordable? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Well, the affordable part is pretty subjective, but Summit is the finest climber out there, and if you buy one, and do it right the first time, you will happy for years to come. LOTS of satisfied summit users on here that can back me up on this one. The Viper in the Realtree package on Cabelas is $229.00 which is pretty darn good.

Just about all the Summit stands are great. I don't know if they are the "best", but are pretty darn good. Lone Wolf makes a really nice climber, Timber Tall makes a really, really nice climber. You just need to figure out what functions you want and what your budget is and then buy the stand that provides the most for the dollar you are willing to spend.

I have not tried them all, but I like my Lone Wolf Alpha a lot. It's light, quiet, folds flat, and is very stable.

I second the Lone Wolf!

I own both a summit and a LW.

You mentioned budget being a factor.

Buy the summit.
