I Didnt Know G5 Montecs Had Cat Like Attributes????
 

I went to try out my montecs today in our indoor range and they fly exactly like my field tips except they make a wicked hiss in midair. i was kinda worried but my dad gave me some logic and reasoning....
1. im only shoooting from 20 yards so it wont be that far
2. 20 yards is close so they might flinch but i dont think theywill have time torun


other than that i think they will be fine

i noticed that with my montecs 2 days ago.I dont think it will matter as long as you arent shooting at far distances.

That's funny mine don't hiss. How loud is it? Deer jump string so they might jump a hissing sound.

They probably sounded like the QS 4 inch vanes I had to remove the other day...I could not stand the noise.

I shoot the G5s and the only difference that I noticed is that they shoot a tad bit lower than my field points. Just gotta remember to aim a little bit higher :D

i wouldnt shoot arrows that make any noise....deer can and will do their best to get out of the way if the sound alerts them...and YES they will make you miss your mark...believe me...i did it...20yd shot...buck was alert and jumped at the sound of my bow..actually ducked as he went to jump and bolt...he caught my arrow high in the back bone....

beleive me....take how quick you think their reaction time is and multiply that by 1000000...thats how quick they can react

Im betting it doesnt even hiss out in front. Have someone stand down near the target somewhere and shoot it, betting he doesnt here it until the thwack of hitting the target. My strikers dont hiss, pickin up montecs tomorrow, will report back about those.;)

I have some NAP RazorCaps...really liked the design and how they fly, until one day I shot my Muzzy's at the same time. It was like night and day between the two...HIIISSSSS. Haven't shot them since.

99.9999 % of the time whena animal "jumps the string" it was on high alert anyway, and the jump the string reaction is from string noise and nothing more... That sound is moving alot faster than the arrow ever can or will. Watch a hunt video and slow motion it down at the shot and watch. Most of the time upon release the critter will be setteling in for a leap . If you still don't belive just carefully do as mentioned above and stand downrange and listen....THWACK.....HISSSSSSSS....THUD..!
