Bone shouldn't be a problem
I was shooting this evening at 45 yds and did not focus on this particular shot. Actually my mind wandered while at full draw, I was thinking about other hunting stuff and not what I was doing:eek:, and the bow "snatched" the arrow, my trigger finger pulled through the trigger and the arrow went over my target LOL . Anyway, I got to see the penetration power of my arrow at 55 yds and I like it :D.
605 gr arrow, 68#DW, 29"DL, probably 200fps at 55yds ![]() |

RE: Bone shouldn't be a problem
LOL I have bigger ones already mounted on the woodpile waitin' for cold weather. Normally I only shoot mature trees but I didn't want to eat tree tag soup so I shot this little "spike" LMAO :D.

Looks like you might get a pass through when you take one. :D

RE: Bone shouldn't be a problem
Most bone is equal to kiln dried poplar. Every time I change arrow setup I buy a few extra arrows and a few different thickness boards to test the bone penetration. That is some nice penetration you have there.

That poor old tree, it is scarred for life now!

RE: Bone shouldn't be a problem
How easy was it to get out if in fact you could recover it? Only reason I ask is I did the same thing a few weeks back and stuck into a big tree. It only penetrated about 2 inches, but was a pain to pull out.
