Miniblaster 4L & Turkeys

I ' stole' some miniblaster 4Ls off " the bay" last week and installed the pathfinder tips to get the weight to 97grs. These things are the biggest cut mech. I have personally seen.

I am somewhat worried about penetration on some the our big IA gobblers that can sometimes weigh up to 30#.

I am shooting a 29" 63# Q2 with 28" GT 5575xt. I once measured my KE @ 61#.

Do I have anything to be worried about?

You shouldn' t have any problem with penetration. The problem is, how are you going to stop your arrow from penetrating without going all the way through the bird and flying through the woods. I used 100 gr. spitfires, redlines and a Q2 to get my turkey last year and it passed through him like he was melted butter. He weighed 23 pounds. You don' t want a pass through on a turkey, they tend to fly a long ways without an arrow sticking in them.

They' re the best I' ve seen for turkeys. The L shpe of the blades will cause them to open fast and slow them down enough to limit penetration. Should do great.
