Lifetme Hunting License??

Does your state have one? How much is it and how much is the yearly charge if ya know? Just curious!?!

Md does not offer this option anymore for what I can find, but wish they did! I say "anymore" because I am pretty sure my Grandfather had one in both MD and WV many years ago!

Iowa does-I just got mine this year but apparently there was some talk about doing away with it. Was $51.Well worth it if I live over 2 more years...

Texas does, I have one. Was $600 one time fee when I got it, I think it is around $1000 now, not sure. It covers everyhting, forever. Except maybe the Federal Migratory Bird stamp, I don't know on that, not a duck hunter.

Arkansas has onebut it's a $1000 and the hunting/fishing combo license here which allows you to hunt and fish for everythingis only $35 (it may cost extra for a trout stamp). Not sure about the trout stamp b/c I don't trout fish.

True for persons 65 and over. Only others eligible are people who are severly disabled or veterans with a military related disability or that has been a POW. Right now the license fee for veterans is $5.50 for a lifetime. This does not include deer tags or turkey tags.

Oklahoma has them. I have the lifetime hunting/fishing combination that covers everything expect a waterfowl stamp (I've never had to buya deer or turkey tag). It was $775 when I got mine, I'm not sure what they are now. There has been talk of getting rid of them.

RE: Lifetme Hunting License??

NY does. BUT, since I'm so old I didn't opt for it. Now they've come up with a buy in at age 65 for $50 if you want. Well, I get my license for $5 now because I'm over 40% disabled military vet. So, I'd technically have to live to buy a license for 10 years to eat up the $50. That would put me at 75 years old. I decided not to go for the lifetime since I have the $5 license. PLUS... filing as a disabled vet I get preference points on a doe permit. I got one this year. I applied for 2. They tell me I'll get at least one being disabled. I could have gotten it last year too but didn't know the rules until after I bought the license, paid $68 dollars and got the book. Then it was too late to undue the deed. I told the clerk, why didn't you tell me I could get it for $5. He said, you should have ask.[:@][:@]

The lifetime hunting license in LA. is still $300.00. A lifetime hunting/fishing is $500.00. I got the lifetime combo years ago. It covers everything for life except the Federal migratory stamp. It's definately worth getting.A lifetime non-resident license is $3000.00.

$442.50 for a lifetime hunting license and $882.50 for a lifetime hunt/fish combo here in KS.

haha, $51 for a lifetime license?

I think they're usually $1000 or so, nowadays in the states that offer them.

Personally I think at least those type of prices, you're better off just paying an annual fee, ie what if you move? The ones Ive seen were expensive and would take I think 20yrs or so to pay it off. I've always thought I may move too.

I got my lifetime license years ago. Hunting and fishing combined was around $700.00. Indiana doesn't offer them anymore. If I move to another state it is still good though. Best thing I ever bought.

In LA. they will pay for themselves in just 5 years. That is $300.00 for lifetime hunting. Most states are way less than $1000.00, so I think your way better off buying the lifetime license.

Pennsylvania does not, but New York does for about $700 I believe. Since I hunt NY, I do know that, but since I am a non-resident of NY I am out.

Come on PA...lets get a Lifetime License

RE: Lifetme Hunting License??

Nebraska has them but I don't think I'll ever get one because we don't need a hunting license for deer or turkey. You have to get a permit for those. And I don't care for pheasant hunting or anything so it wouldn't do me any good.

RE: Lifetme Hunting License??

We have them here in Alabama, but they have gone way up over the past few years. I think they are around $400 now, but I'm not sure. I don't have one because I hunt on family land owned by my grandmother. According to Section 9-11-44 of Alabama's Game and Fish laws, you arenot required tobuy a residential hunting license to hunt land owned by a member of your immediate family.I do however buy a single season resident license anyways because I'm in school and occassionally hunt the local national forest and lands of local friends. Resident license is only $24.00.

NY lifetime is $600 for under 65 years of age. It does include the small gameand big game hunting, fishing, and the turkey tag. It does not include bow hunting or muzzleloading.

Indiana got rid of it about 6 years ago. I think around then they were like 600.With the price of deer tags and how young i am, having one of those would be nice.

RE: Lifetme Hunting License??

Virginia has one. It's 20x the current rate. I paid $250 for mine a few years back and they've raised the rate twice since then. Wish I had bought one years ago when the rate was still $7.50 a year. But it only covers the small game/general license. I still have to buy my big game, archery, muzzleloader licenses. [:@] I wish they had a lifetime Sportsman license like GA that covers all licenses including fishing and trout.
