 Tookmy firstbull on the first day of my hunt in NM (monday, 9/8). We were walking along the top at last light when we spotted him laying in his bed. 45 yard quartering away shot that was perfect. Arrow lodged in far shoulder taking out both lungs. He got up but only went twenty yards. He is a 5X4 that nets 7 points for team number One!! Had to stop and buy a bigger freezer on the way home;) |

It was amazing. That thing was a toad. Everytime I got close I thought it was finally going to happen. He only had 5 cows and a small satellite bull and a spike hanging around. I passed the spike one morning. There just werent many elk in our unit.
