I think it depends on what kind of seat you like. If you like a sling time seat then you can't go wrong with any of the Summit stands. If you like a bench style seat then the Equalizer is hard to beat. There are also some mom and pop companies who make some great climbers.

As said above, it's often times a matter of preference. I LOVE my climber, but it doesn't have a seat on it because I STAND the whole time in the tree. There are a LOT of good climbers out there, you just have to make a decision on how much money you want to spend. Stay away from anything over 22-25# and you'll probably be happy with whatever you choose.

YOu can't go wrong with the summit Viper. I have one....andit's a great stand. Very comfortable and solid.
I also have the LW....and it has its' advantages, too. Lighter and you'd be able to shoot from a sitting position with no issues.
Difference in price is.......LW is $100 more expensive.

I have a Summit Goliath that works fine.If you like a bench type seat you can get a web seat for theSummit on E Bay for $19.I don'tcare forLone Wolf's traction belt (personal thing) on their stand. I have a lot of butt to put on a belt.
