Here in MInnesota, they have 3 different areas. I live in a lottery area, wich means that I can only get 1 deer, either sex. Last year my area was management, which meant you could buy 1 extra doe only tag over the counter. Then there are some areas that are intensive harvest, and in those areas, you can tag a buck, or a doe with your regular license, and then you could buy up to 4 extra doe tags.
Right on BigD! I'm in the area also where I can only shoot one deer. I don't like it!!
Nope, I dont like it either! The part that really sucks, is that about 25 miles to the west of me is the line between lottery, and management.
I here you guys. In a couple of my spots I can actually see the line (Hwy 63) and watch the deer cross it. I have a bad feeling this year. In the past years when we were in the intensive Harvest or mgmt area, those slug hunters had something to keep there itchy trigger fingers happy, now that all there going to be able to do is shoot bucks, ( unless they apply for a doe tag, which 99% of them wont figure out until the deadline is over)So much for trying to let the little guys go. I love how much effort our DNR puts into QDM.
