target shooting

I shoot at a block target set at 30 yards. the issue im having is out of 3 arrows I will shoot 2 with in a 1/2 inch and 1 will be about 4 in. to the right. Even with 5 arrows i will shoot 4 with in 1 in and have 1, 4 or 5 in. off to the right. How can i get over this, it is starting to really piss me off.

and if i shoot 6 of them, 2 are off to the right

Without even getting into form issues.....let me ask you....

Do you have your arrows numbered?

so i numbered my arrows, and i have found out that its the Indian not the arrow that's messing up. If i breathe right, and take my time thinking about the shot there is not a problem, doing it 5 times in a row is the problem.

A very wise man on this site once said "Trust your float" It took me a while to figure it out and I got the answer from him, now I have learned to "Trust my float".

I focus on getting my arrows into the kill zone consistantly rather than obsessing over grouping, getting a second shot is rare in a real world hunting situation. I use a foam deer instead of a block or bag for better visualization, it really improved my shooting. Recently I had a slight problem with focusing on my target spot(I shoot instinctive with a recurve), so I drilled a small hole in the middle of a Daisy Shatter Blast target disc and toothpicked it on the spot I wanted to hit. The bright orange disc sharpened my focus instantly and is a lot of fun to shatter, great confidence booster too.
