RE: Whisker Biscuit or Drop Away?

My bow was actually 1 fps faster with a wb a few years back when I tried it.. I didn't care for it vs the QAD Ultra Rest though.. I use the LD model and it captures your arrow pretty well also. (I removed the capture bar)
At the time there were two reasons I didn't like the wb, one was I shot 4 inch vanes and they would wrinkle them (since switched to blazers) and two I shot camo arrows and I could hear the camo arrows being drawn back as they pulled through the wb (since switched to AC SS's).. So while neither of these would be an issue now at the time I stuck with a drop away for those reasons.. NO way I'd give up my QAD though.. I love it!!

Drop away. I've never had an arrow fall off in the stand.

OH FER CRYIN OUT LOUD! No way I`m leaving this alone.
10 fps minimum!!!
My buddy ryan who runs the archery department at sportsmans wherehouse in coon rapids mn. had a guardian with a wb shooting 256,he switched to a limb driver drop away and shot 270!! I was there,if you think you can gain fps with a wb you have a broken bow thats all there is to it.
And 10 is generous,I would say the average is closer to 13 fps faster with a drop away.

Once theyre down,, theyre eyes glazed over they are not that much concerned about a drop in 25 fps. Go WB.

Who gives a damn about 10 fps, or even 15? Dadgum, the deer will still DIE if you hit him in the right spot with the right broadhead!!!!!!! It aint that damn important.

Let`s wiegh the pro`s and con`s

drop away-pro`s -faster,quieter,more accurate,nothing touching the arrow,no bent fletches
con`s-the arrow might fall off the rest?
wb- pro`s........ ummm the arrow wont fall of the rest?
con`s - all of the above

What type of fletchings do you use while HUNTING? I know you're a big competitive shooter, but I'm talkin about hunting. I don't think you can prove that the drop away is more accurate for EVERY single bow, or faster. I've been shooting a biscuit with blazer vanes for over a year, same fletchings, no warping. The only fletching problem I have is from other arrows knocking them off when my group is so tight, with my biscuit. I just like to be able to get to my stand, nock and arrow, and forget about it. Once I nock it, it's ready to go and I don't have to worry about nocking it when I have a target, it's ready.
