Camo tree stands?

I've often wondered this, why aren't there camo deer stands? I've seen optional camo blinds to place around buddy stands, camo seat covers, arm rest etc. But no (that I've seen) actual camo ladders/climers/lock on stands? Camo dips are big business now and it seems that it would weatherproof the stand and make it more difficult for theives to find. Thoughts?

Hmmm......that is a good question. I've never thought of that.

I have always camo'd every stand that I put in the woods precisely for the reason you just mentioned. I dont think it matters to the deer very much, but a good camo job helps keeps others from finding them and taking them home. I just use a few colors of spray paint and make a stencil with some of the wife's synthetic greenery. It doesn't take much time and its not very expensive. They usually look pretty cool when I'm done too.

Simple - added cost. A buddy of mine had his Lone Wolf stands dipped in Predator camo. They look sweet, but it's more for eye appeal than anything.

Which stand isn't?
Most are olive drab. I'm not talking about the cloth, I mean the frame/ladder.

I too paint all mine, I mainly use tri pods but I also paint the hang ons that I have. I have to agree that cost would be the reason that they dont do them at the factory....

Is cost really a factor? Seriously, lots of hunters own ground blinds that are over $350. Bows that are nearing a grand, bare?Urine thats $10 an ounce? The same guy wouldn't pony up $300 for a stand that will last much longer? I camo my own, but it looks like an angle that hasn't explored yet IMO.

I just painted a stand last weekend myself as well... (last stand was stolen .. again).

Needless to say I'm gonna have my nephew write...

"Please dont steal my daddy's stand" on the bottom of the seat(hes 6 have to use my nephew for the bad handwriting cause I dont have a kid of my own hahaha) ... hopefully if someone sees it they'll feel bad and leave it alone.
