when nature calls
what do you guys do when nature calls.
Last year i used a gallon jug to pee in i pee alot since i drink alot of water. What do you guys do. One time i thought alittle scent killer laundry soap in the jug would kill the smell it does for a few hour but after that it stinks like deer piss. |

for you guys that just let it fly out the stand do you worry about scent if the urine scent is not a issue why is body odor

I read an article one time that said that you should always have a full bladder while hunting, because it helps you stay warm longer. So, everytime I'm heading to the woods, I drink at least 1/2 gallon of water before I leave.
I hold it for as long as I can, and if I need to go, I just wee in a ziploc baggie, then put it in my daypack. If I have to poo, I either go in a walmart bag, and roll it up and stick in in a ziploc - or I just put on one of these undergarments and let it go.  They come in adult sizes, and can hold a lot of poo before it starts to leak out. I usually sprinkle a little bit of Arm & Hammer in it to help with scent control. |

Why don't you just turn around and aim for the tree behind you and let it run down? Just make sure its not the one you climb down.

This is one of those questions that doesn't have a right answer. After a while of paying attention to sites like this you have to come to realize that area's are different. In short it has to do with deer densities. Places with high concentrations of deer require less work scent wise. Places with low densitiesrequire more. Pattern these guys and their area's and you'll see.:D All you have to do is ask yourself what kind of area are you in? Then do what you need too. I pee in a bottle then stuff it under my clothes to keep me warm.Why waste heat. :D |

I just pee right off the stand and if it's pooh I climb down with t.p and go about 50 feet away from the stand |

I can't speak for the rest of you but my pee doesn't spook deer. Maybe I smell like dominant buck;)I have peed in scrapes and seen bucks come and work the scrape and I have peed off of my stand on numerous occaisons and had deer come up and sniff it (within minutes on a couple of occaisons) and I have have never had a deer spook or get nervous. I had 8 does and a 120' buck come in within 2 minutes of being on the ground a few years back. They stayed around the base of my tree for 10 minutes and weren't the least bit nervous. At least not until the 132" 9pt came in chasing a doe and they were forced to witness his demise.:D
