Repairing a Broadhead Target

I have been using a Morrell Yellow Jacket broadhead target for a couple of years now and have 2 holes that are just about shot through...
While at Lowes Hardware yesterday, I picked up a can of foam insulation...I went home and filled these holes with the insulation...

After work today, I cut off the excess foam and shot 6 arrows through the repaired area...The foam stopped the arrows and were pretty easy to remove...I think I can make it through the season with this target...

I wrap my target in plastic wrap and tape and then use the foam. (poke a couple small holes in the tape) The plastic/tape compresses the foam a bit so it lasts longer.(it doesn't last for a whole season tho')

I just re-did my hog target and where ever the expanding foam came out of the plastic wrap there are blobs.... it looks like my hog has tumors. :D

BLOB target

Check out BLOB archery targets for the best BH targets available! It will take years and years of abuse with BHs and I'm still not sure that you'll pass through! :D Check 'em out!

I think you will find out that the type of foam you are mentioning for a patch will cut out fairly fast. It has very little self healing properties at all.

Another Great choice in Broadhead targets are the ones made by American Whitetail.

That's B.S. I've shot though them before.. hit the same spot several times with my buddy's new one and I went clean through it... I know you make them, and are pushing them, but I'm not a blod fan at all.
There are not indestructable broad head target out there, they will all get holes, you don't have to have a Harvard education to figure that one out.
