i've used it and it is hit and miss like any scent you put out. I have best luck using doe pee and doe estrus during rut and striff wind spray it from my tree stand 15 feet up in the air letting it catch wind i've had 5 bucks walk in at one time but i have antler restictions so youngen's had to walk!!! it is a confidence thing for me using it the last couple of years now i want to try bear and hog scents and see if they work!!

I'll try the bear scent this fall. My deer spots are good just the way they are.

Got the crap in my eyes when I set it off. Had bucks come through the area but I don't think it was because of the buck bomb. It was the hot doe that checked the can and got pissed. Bought another can and it didn't work.......so now I hate the buck bomb.

Now, if that buck can smell that estrous, he can smell you too, so I'd rather have the estrous to lure him in and possibly cover my scent a lil, as well.

I'm not big on scents and lures, I like to hunt based on observation and scouting- but I do use some estrous now and again.

Last year, I tried scent bomb. EVERTIME that I used it, and especially in conjunction with calling, I saw BUCKS..and alot of them. I used it 3 times- 2 of those 3 times the deer actually knocked the can over. I think because of teh way its dispersed, the estrous scent travels further and will go with the wind.

So, if the wind swirls, the scent keeps swirling too. Which is a good thing. Now, bringing a buck in downwind is not the smartest thing, but you can deploy the can in an area the sends the scent of the estrous downwind, but not your own scent.

Around what time of year did you use it? What does the can recommend?

My brother and I met up every year some where. I'm 9 years his senior and carried him his first years of life. I remember rocking him to sleep. Who'd of known then he'd grow up to be the powerful hunter he is today.

Well on one of our get togethers he pulls out the utimate weapon, the buck bomb and tosses me one with the instruction that I'd better get up the tree quick because the bucks will be charging in.
