Why did you start?????
I just am curious to know why yall started bowhunting. Maybe some of you started bowhunting before gun hunting. I just want to know the rasoning behind your decision
Personally i have wanted to do it because its like hunting primitively if thats a word.lol and also to get a shot at those bucks on our cameras that tend to dissapear during gun season. I feel i have an advantage to be able to get at those deer sooner and iu love the thought of getting that buck in close its crazy lol.
Also how many of you only bowhunt.
Thanks
Colten

RE: Why did you start?????
I was a gun hunter first, dad taught us to hunt at a very early age, didn't start bow hunting until I was 14 or so, back in the 60s...
I'm not just a bow hunter, gun hunter or deer hunter...
I'm a hunter...

RE: Why did you start?????
Initially, because my dad did it.
After a while, because it was fun.
These days, because I have an overwhelming passion bordering on obsession to spend as much time in the woods pushing myself to my limits, finding out who I am as both a hunter and a person.
Also because its fun and it allows me to spend a lot of time with my dad. Those of you who've been here for quite awhile know how close I am with my father and that he and I spend quite a bit of time together in the woods and on the water.
