They aren't necessary but they definetly help you disappear.

Any time you can add depth and texture to your camo it will only enhance its effectiveness.
The leaves willblow and rustlejust like real leaves in the woods. Essentially you become part of the woods.

Think about a ground blind for a minute.Would youadd tree branches and leaves to the outside of the ground blind to help it blend in even betterwhen you set it up or is it just as effective sitting there all by itself?

How about military snipers? Do they just go out there with regular issuecamo or do they enhance it to make themselves absolutely disappear?

NO, but they're really cool and in certain situations do help to hide you.

I dont think that it is neccessary, last year was the first year that I wore one, and it was the first year that I didnt get a deer in 5 years.

I didnt get a deer last yr ether but that was due to shoulder surgery[:@],all tho I would like to get one being how I think it would be the cats meow for stalking and still huning...But neccesary no....
