I was referring to the flatter trajectory of downward shots (in close), compared to a more horizontal one. There is less gravitational pull as you shoot more vertical. I guess with modern bows having incredibly flat trajectory to beginwith, this might not be a concern. An extreme downward (straight down) shot is something you want to avoid on an animal, I know. They can be done, but not a good idea, nonetheless.
The poster brought it up, so from tree height, what else could he be referring to? Maybe he hunts from the ground, but that wasn't mentioned.

I hear ya ROb....
My point in asking my question was to show how INSIGNIFICANT the angle is when determining where to aim. A 15yd shot from 15' up results in a shot that's less than 1yd differencethan the horizontally measureddistance.
Translation......non-negligible to the hunter. I agree with you. Use proper form and shoot your pins you sighted in from the ground.

Oh jeeze, I am just kidding around. Don't mean to offend, that's for sure.
I've committed crimes against the English language myself.
I get amused whenI see it done is all.
I don't want to end up whacked! Please forgive!!
The recent thread got me going on this subject, soI thought I would inject it into the discussion is all.

The "gist" of it is....sights with multiple pins don't have moving parts. Never have to move anything to use it.....and there's never a chance of it being "set" on something else when the moment of truth comes.
That's all.....and enough for me.

One more thing I will try that today Jeff and let you know how I make out!
