Muzzys???

I was also looking at muzzys along with the montecs and hellrazors. I will most definitley be shooting the montecs but do muzzys fly well and does the tip on the ned help with bone or what.
Any info would be good.

Thanks
Colten

RE: Muzzys???

Muzzy's are great heads, and they are reasonably priced. I tried some G5 Montec's in 85 gr. and 100 gr. They are great heads, if you can find a package sharp enough and can keep them sharp. Not one package I bought would pass for sharp. They , in fact, were some of the dullest edges I had ever seen on a head, thus I went back to the Muzzys. And yes, the tip is designed for breaking thru bone.

RE: Muzzys???

I have used muzzys for many years and they fly exactly like my fieldtips. They work perfectly for me and I would have no reason to try another head. As far as the tip, I have never had any issues with penetration. In fact I hit a buck too far forward a few years ago and it took out both shoulderblades and dropped him on the spot. There are a lot of great broadheads on the market. Most of them should shoot just like filedtips in a properly tuned bow. Good luck.

What he said, very strong reliable broadheads.

RE: Muzzys???

I hunted with Muzzy's for years. However, I switched to thunderheads after a recomendation from my friend. I can say the thunderheads are more duriable on the at the tip. My muzzy's would tend to bend if hit something solid. They still will go through any deer I shot. They just don't reuse as well.

As was said, there's a lot of good, high-quality heads on the market these days.

My Muzzy MX-3s stack right in with my field points at distances out to 60 yards (the furthest I practice), and I love the blade thickness and sharpness.

As others said, too... they're offered at a great price point to the customer.

Colten, the MX-3's blew threw three deer for me last year. They left good sized wounds and flew well.
