Yes...while that may be true, we are still humans.
For some reason we feel the need for some measurement, some symbolism.
Something hard, concrete...proof.
When the antlers fall off, for some reason, because we are human, it's just another deer.
Big antlers are something we can see, feel , touch.
A jewel that lasts forever.
The big diamond.
Understand now why the rock you buy for your one and only, means so much to her?

I think it's because bucks have something that's comparable (antlers). One can readily measure the antlers for comparrison to their buddies buck.

Well, I'm thinking of starting a new trend....... The Big Doe Club. For comparrison, we'll measure their teats! What do you think.......length and circumference for all four?

T-1l
T-2l
T-3l
T-4l

T-1c
T-2c
T-3c
T-4c

Total teatage............. just gross, no net! [:-]
Greg, nowthats funny stuff. B and C material for sure.

Wow, you shot spike bucks for 14 years in a row, maybe you should stand up and take a bow. You could rub it in my face for 300 days, and I would give a **** less. I am not going to go out to the fields and shoot the little bucks and not allow them to grow up in to the ones I want.
So Rimjob - let me guess.... You're the poor schmuck who's eaten his tag for9 straight years because you're "waiting for the big one." LMAO

See ya at the check station, porkchop.
Actually I am yet to eat tag soup with my buck tags. I haven't had the opportunity yet to hang one on the wall, but I also haven't shot a buck younger than 2.5 years old. I don't shoot small bucks and most people in my area are the same way. I would much rather eat my tag than shoot a 1x2 buck. I would actually be embarassed to bring that home with me. But I suppose I shouldn't lecture you about your hunting practices. I do know though that I will have plenty more chances at shooting "the big one" but hunting the way I do.

I think shooting a buck is the ultimate goal, but shooting any deer is just fine for me. I am really into it for the food!!!!!!!!

I like food, when you checking that camera MDS that way we can see how many bucks we will be having for dinner(or does, or little crock pot stuffers that are sometimes hard to hit).

I hunt bucks and kill does for food.
We`re all trophy hunters in a sense, waking up in a cold sweat dreaming of big nasty,if you could choose between 2 does or one big nasty he would take over every time.
