RE: Why is killing a buck so important?
Yes...while that may be true, we are still humans.
For some reason we feel the need for some measurement, some symbolism.
Something hard, concrete...proof.
When the antlers fall off, for some reason, because we are human, it's just another deer.
Big antlers are something we can see, feel , touch.
A jewel that lasts forever.
The big diamond.
Understand now why the rock you buy for your one and only, means so much to her?

I think it's because bucks have something that's comparable (antlers). One can readily measure the antlers for comparrison to their buddies buck.
Well, I'm thinking of starting a new trend....... The Big Doe Club. For comparrison, we'll measure their teats! What do you think.......length and circumference for all four?

Wow, you shot spike bucks for 14 years in a row, maybe you should stand up and take a bow. You could rub it in my face for 300 days, and I would give a **** less. I am not going to go out to the fields and shoot the little bucks and not allow them to grow up in to the ones I want.

I think shooting a buck is the ultimate goal, but shooting any deer is just fine for me. I am really into it for the food!!!!!!!!

I hunt bucks and kill does for food.
We`re all trophy hunters in a sense, waking up in a cold sweat dreaming of big nasty,if you could choose between 2 does or one big nasty he would take over every time.
