i got my target i ordered from sportsman's guide.
this was my second order andboth in a week.
And it was wrong.

I saw ups drive up drop it on my steps.
When i get around to going out to get it i noticed the box was small.

I opened the box and it had 8 inch's of packing material and coupons.
The target is 12 inch's by 12inchs.
My first thought was no wonder it was 20 bucks.

I looked on there website. the one i got has one circle and one diamond on the other side.

The one i ordered had a circle in the middle and four around it.
And four diamonds on the other side.
If you had five circles on the one i got they would look like the Olympic sign .
I called them and they said it was the wrong item and i need to send it back and they would send me a new one out.

so ifigure four days to get thepacking slip four days till they get it. and another week till i get one back. two more weeks before i get a target i ordered Monday.

Makes me think about ordering from them again two orders one is wrong and in a week.
God come on.
who in the heck would want a 12x12 target
also heck not much to it i could make one with some foam pads plywoods and a wood spliter to compress the thing. then wrap it in duck tape.

Sounds like a bad deal...but wouldnt they have dimentions of the target on their website?

nope no dimentions n sportmans guide's website they had them on the mfg. website.
the pic on sportsmans guide was takin to make it look bigger

the one they sent me is a double stop target just 12x12 with one circle.

i think there all 12x12 even the 5 circle ones there only 20 bucks.

i think the only thing differnt from my order and the one i got is the number of circles.
on hortonmfg.com they say there 12x12 but they have a 19x19

20 buck ant bad think i will keep it because i can put more circles with some black spray paint

The link in red is a blow gun target. I could see some problem with shooting my bow at that. I hope they make it right for you.

the blowgun target is not what they sent me they sent me a layed bow target that is small with less dots. it looks nothing like in the pic. nor was the dimenstions. on there site.
I guest the small target will make me think before shooting might help my groups.

If you look at Bass Pro, they show a pic of both:

The range version is 20x20, and costs $90. Tha camp version is 12x12 and costs $40. They also have a hunter version, but do not give a price. Because the sportsmans guide says compare at $40, it looks like they are showing a picture of the hunter version (what you thought you were getting) but actually selling the camp version (what they sent you).

i think your right i am calling them back tomorrow to find out the size they said it should have five dots maybe i will get the big one for 20 bucks :D

if there selling the small one with a pic of the big one i am done with them

That place is a joke!! Ya, some of their things are cheaper, but the shipping and taxes kill ya. I wont order from them again.

I've always thought Sportmans Guide used trickery and gimmicks to sell stuff that is not very good quality. JMO.

Stuff happens. Sounds like a communication problem. Things don't have to be the way they are. The person on the other end of the phone is just going through the motions and unless you make it happen it's rare to find someone who'll go beyond what that. Ask them if you can buy a different one and have it coming to you while the other is going back, of course a refund needs to happen when it's returned.

As far as the target, you should have done your homework. They are not all 12x12. They also are not thought of very highly.

I personaly don't buy layered targets. I like the soilid. Cabela's makes a good solid one for around 35.

It's hard to tell from the pic which one of the 2 targets you bought, but based on what you got they definetly misrepresented the product. I'd push it. If you were supposed to get the "range" target for 20 bucks, Woo Hoo.:DI'd change my mind about a layered one.:D

Couldn't have other wise you'd have known there's more than one model. What I meant was you should have looked around the net to see what else is said about it. Best to go to the manufacures site for a detailed description. I aint blaming you, and you have a rite to want what you saw (they may have a disclaimer like everybody else. Store ads do a retraction often)

As far as wanting the one in the pic for 20. Who wouldn't? 89 at BP! LOL:D

I said I'd push it. See what they'll do to make it right, be polite but firm. Tell them how great a place they have and how your on line friends love to shop there and you'd love to have another story to tell about the great service they have.:D

Your didn't pay top dollar, so you can't expect top quality or service. We all take our chances when we shop like this. If it doesn't work out, live and learn, cheap education. :D
