it just shows how easy you can ge hurt in the woods.

I went scouting today.
The area was rough thick with weeds had to walk through two dried up creek bed both rough.
Some of the weeds were chest high.
The area was a bust i have seen deer there. but there is realy no where to set a stand and due to the weeds no area to set a blind.
i did find one area but not sure if it will be any good.

But anyway when i was coming back i cross one of the creek beds.
Well when coming up the side of the 3 foot deep bed i slipped on the mud and fell down on my left knee and wrist. No big deal
Well about two hours my wrist started hurting.
Now about 8 hours later it really hurt.
I do not think it is a big deal. Just made me think how any little slipp or fall could cost a guy his season really. quick.

The one thing that sucks is i should get my target i ordered tomorrow.
I am unsure if i should start shooting to morrow or wait a few days.

Think i will see how it feels tomorrow.
I got some antiflammitory think i might take a few over the next few days and see if it helps.

Be carefull guys it does not take much

Sorry to hear that but I'll bet you'll be better soon.

Skip the anti-inflam and put ice on it 15 minutes on and 30 minutes off. JMO

Good Luck with it,

it only takes a second. luckily you was just scouting. I was out rabbit and squirrel hunting one winter and went to cross a creek and i stepped on the edge of the ice to get up on the bank and the ice broke and it turned out it was a 4 foot water hole and i got soaked up to my waist in the winter in the middle of nowhere.

see this is why everyone should wear a fall harness. IT is to easy to get hurt being on the ground and it only gets worse being up a tree. hopefully you will be alright.
I thought for a minute as i was reading it you were going to tell us you broke your wrist and would be out of commission for a while

Try carrying a 16' ladderstand with your head inbetween rungs and tripping! I did it and just about broke my jaw. Still hurts like hell! Anyway, hope your wrist is OK. Ice, Ice, Ice

ya no doubt. my stand is 12 feet high.. i figured not much that would happen that high maybe a back ace or something like that but i just fell down onto my wrist. i can just think what it would have been if i fell 12 feet onto my wrist.
