Again, the statement is true,no one is saying different but it is a bit misleading in archery,2 arrow do not travel the same speed of different weight,WHEN ALL THINGS ARE EQUALL.[8D]
I agree TFOX, I also stand by my statement that it's being over analyzed. Common sense tells us your quote above is true.
Common sense is knowledge gained through actuallexperience.;)

Putting it another way, it is more difficult to stop a heavy arrow, which means it will penetrate more deeply".

You left out the other part of his quote. NOW what do you think he was talking about? What "object"?
I wouldn't answer this one, either......;)

Read post # 31...

Two seperate statements, neither false.

The first statement was a very generic sentence to understand momentum. (Generic if you don't over analyze it)

This quote you have above is 100% true, and simple.

Putting it another (different than the other) way, it is more difficult to stop a heavy arrow, which means it will penetrate more deeply".
Nothing misleading about that.

Had he said ARROWs rather than objects Jeff I would agree with you.
He did;)

I didn't (read EVER) say what he said was not true. I said (many times) it was "misleading".

But your question was in the thread heading,

What's wrong with this POV?

There is nothing wrong with his POV. It was very accurate in a very simple form.

I didn't read it as misleading so how can I agree with you? I read as it is written, very simple and true.

Had you in your orginal post ask, Is this misleading if you substitute object with arrows out of the same bow?

Hell yes would have been my answer. :D

I don’t know what got into me. I don’t know why I would think…….reading an article in Deer and Deer Hunting magazine…….reading an article touting the advantages of a heavier arrow over a lighter arrow…….reading quotes where the author says “arrow” in the second sentence quoted…….

I have no idea how I would have jumped to the conclusion that he was referring to arrows as being the “object” of the thread. I must be crazy.

And TFox….I think figured it out. If I’d posted…..”Do you think this joke’s funny?”……and someone posted up, real quick, “NO”……….

I suppose it would be hard to come back, after that, and say you finally “got it”.;)
