I have been seeing alot of crossbows on the outdoor channel lately, have more states opened bowhunting to crossbows? These guys didnt look handicapped or 65 yrs old to me.

More and more states are opening up to crossbows. I think its a good idea to get more hunters and hunting opportunities out there. Dont get me wrong I will always prefer my bow over a crossbow. But thats just my choice. Let people hunt with what they want to hunt with. We need to keep sticking together if we all want to continue hunting.

I have a popular gun magazine here on my desk that has write ups on 2 of them in it, not one regular bow, but 2 Xbows, what does that tell ya!

yeah.....Gun season is a good place for them....i personally do not want crossbows to be legal during PA archery unless you are disabled or over the age of 65.....other than that you should learn how to use a compound or traditional gear....thats just my opinion

i think they should allow xbows for CERTAIN people in ny.

3 years ago, my dad broke his shoulder. its still broken, ittl never fully heal.

therefor, he can barely draw back a 50 lb bow.

ny state will not allow him to use a xbow.

I agree with you Shawn, should be exceptions.

why should there be exceptions??They both can shoot the same distances, crossbow has trigger, bow has release with trigger[&:].Why should it be in gun season?

RE: Crossbows

i use a cross-bow and have been for awhile now BUT i used to shoot a compound and long-bow. while in high school i had a bad shoulder injury (right) during football..never gotta it fixed then re-injured it during wrestling season..should have had surgery...but i can say this every type of bow i have used ive killed deer with and missed! anyone who hunts and takes in the sport with respect of the land and the wildlife is a true hunter in my eyes whatever weapon they use.
