How fast are they? Do you know?

I've shot a few caribou but I've never had anyone say... or have never read anything...If I had to guess I'd say 25-30....but I could be way off....

Possibly the most fun I've ever had on a hunting trip.

They are pretty quick though, not only running, but just walking accross the tundra. They cover some ground, and quick only walking.

Not as fast as a Marsupial. They are "fast".

Have fun with it....that whole trick of hanging your arms above your head and walking towards them DOES WORK....they love pick up trucks too :)

They like to lick the mirrors as your driving buy....

On the flip side...

If you're ALONE...on foot...trying a stalk in open tundra...different story....A true Challenge!

I was surprised to hear, this evening, that a caribou is capable of speeds of 50mph.

That's about 2X faster than I would have guessed.[&:]
