One thing you have to give them credit for, is they stand behind their product 100%.
I would sure like to have a peak at this new collet system.

I think it's awesome that bowtech is doing that. It just shows that even though there are a very small problem of bows having the problem they are willilng to stepup and take care of the customer no matter what. I think it even applies to bows who have been owned by more than one person too which is cool.

The manufacturer is stepping up now and taking care of it, but it's more of a CYA deal at this point. The lawsuits were bound to start coming (maybe too late for that). There were numerous threads about them blowing up and those guys (some BT diehards too) got persecuted to no end. Claims of improper pressing, using less than 5 gpp arrows and even conspiracy theories were being tossed around. It was quite entertaining, but only because no one got seriously injured. I'm glad I sold mine when I did.

Claims of improper pressing, using less than 5 gpp arrows
I recall one of the guys in here, last week (with a blown up general) admitting to pressing his wrong.

I recall another general owner (who's hasn't had any ill effects, yet) admitting to shooting under the 5gpp spec. requirement.

Not really a claim if you asked me.

I wonder if any of the guys that formed the posse to hang anyone who complained about their bow blowing up are willing to come forth and apologize to the ones they bashed.... It seems only right..

I mean, Bowtech is making things right, shouldn't their supporters...

True, but probably less than 1 % did wrong..... like the recall....

Yeah just called my proshop and he has some new limbs on the way for me.

RE: Bowtech General - Press Release

Actually, I don't think improper pressing would have anything to do with this particular brand of limb failure. A faulty press job would be more likely to snap the limbs at either the base or at the pivot - not at the axle. At least if I'm understanding the nature of the failure addressed by the recall... I may be wrong.Opinions?

For what it's worth:On some level or another, I guess this move could beconstrued asBowtech/Savage"caring about their customers,"but much as it demonstrates compassion for their customer base, it also illustrates their grave fear of monstrously-expensiveproducts liability litigation down the road.Strict products liability is no joke.

to all those who bashed fellow archers......it should be about hunting...not hating different bow companys...I don't think huntingnet was designed for some of the crap I read on a daily bases with people fighting over issues that no one on here has control over....amen.

Who would do this? Geez[:-] I just got off the phone with my Dealer and he has not heard anything about it yet! Man that is weird normally if a company has a recall the dealers will know 1st so thye can handle the problem! I'm not saying there is not a recall at all just does not make sense to me thats all. I called to get new limbs ordered and he said when I hear something I will let you know and then we will take care of it! He said I know nothing about it yet.

RE: Bowtech General - Press Release

Hats off to Bowtech for stepping up to the plate!!!!

That being said, I am having a hard time accepting the "less than 1% failure" comment when the industry standard for years has been 1% and that was the number Bowtech used as well when they had their "issues" in '06.

Regardless, I am glad to see that those guys that forked out $700+ for one are bing taken care of!!!!!
