Nothing personal, I just think the government (whoever they are) gets too involved in many areas of our lives. Like I said, I agree with bag limits, but not AR's. Bag limitshelp managethe herd, whereas AR restrictions are about growing bigger bucks. Growing bigger bucks should not be an issue that the government has any control over. They should however be concerned and have every right to help increase/reduce the herd based on scientific data, not ego driven policies such as AR's. |

Sorry Preacher...I'm here at the beach and had to get two of my kids to take a nap...and I fell asleep with them :)
"managing" the herd for what? Antler growth? Or managing the herd to balance the doe/buck ratio? |

Kill less bucks, kill more does seems to be a way without imposing AR's.
That being said, I would love to see more bucks in my neck of the woods. I hunted my behind off last year as I do every year and only saw 4 bucks...a spike, 4, 6, and 8 pointer. And they all came within range of my bow. I did not even have any long distance sightings. I am very concerned about this year. |

Kill less bucks, kill more does seems to be a way without imposing AR's. Look I am ALL for the Gov't staying out of as many things as possible, but an AR herd management tool is certainly not one of them. |

Did I ever say anything about "asking" people---establish bag limits for bucks and does....pretty simple huh? And I really don't understand your sarcasm and what you are attempting to accomplish.

People may not want to here this, but it's fact IMO.
The only way to manage doesis through buck tags system. Look at the states with liberal buck tags, and then look at their herd dynamics;) Look at the states with OBR/AR/EAB system, and look at their herd dynamics;) Which states do you want to hunt;) |
