So the contest signups are almost at 400 already. Seriously, are there THAT MANY people who REALLY think they can dethrone the reigning champion DARK HORSES?

I actually feel bad for a lot of you guys. You actually think you can win. It's like when a kid tells you that he wants to be an astronaut when he grows up. You just nod and shake your head - assuring him that he can be whatever he wants to be.

Your collective optimism is kinda cute. But... Cute doesn't win bowhunting contests. Skill wins championships.

All I can say is.. the Dark Horses were fused together from all around the U.S. and were considered of little consequence as the season began last year.. which prompted the name "Dark Horses".

The team consists of Quicksilver.. a guy who could be considered Mr. consistent.

130woodman.. a hunter who most know of.. respect.. and knowingly consider a good hunter.

This dude named 16point.. who just has a ridiculous understanding of hunting big deer.. looks for 150+ year in and year out.

NY/AL.. the youngster who is coming on strong and masks himself as a great turkey hunter by spring.. but his real art seems to lay in his ability to hunt good whitetail.

southdakotahunter.. knows a thing or two about hunting great bucks in open country.. a TJF kinda hunter who gets it done.. and with authority.

Blueranger1.. you probably have never even heard of.. but he's got a trophy book that rivals many.. and I think he hunts like New York if I remember correctly.

mcouey and arrowdynamics are of the same breed. They will drag down a buck with their hands if they have too.

Bamahuntin' came on later last year.. don't know much about him.. but I like his style.;)

The Dark Horses are full of guys with lesser names than many on this website.. but I'll guarantee you they are the team to beat. There really isn't a hunter amongst them who doesn't know what he's doing.

I look forward to another year with them and a big year from 130, 16point, southdakota, and Quick.. 4 guys alone who can carry a team.

You may not remember most the guys on the team.. but you'll never forget the year you played against them I assure you.

Team Bro's before Doe's will always be my favorite team I've ever been on.. strictly because the chatter and fun we had as a team. I wish we could have pulled it off. I met a great bunch that year.

I'm just giving props to a team almost know one knows about. A bunch of guys that are literally not well known or even known at all on the site.. but none the less can hunt. And hunt well.

We came up with the name Dark Horses because thats what we felt we as a team were. I am just giving props to where props is do.. these boys on my team can hunt! And hunt well.;)

A couple of them even thought they had terrible seasons last year. Yikes!

What Duke said is all true we have a sleeper team. There are only to big name hunters on it but the rest of the team are all consistant shooters of good deer.

Duke has a great ability to find an area and pull a great buck out of it. He knows how to read sign and place stands with the best of them. If that doesn't work he can get it done on the ground with a stalk. That is 1 of the hardest ways to get a whitetail and he's done it.

So Like Quick said to dethrone The Dark Horses everybody on your team will have to bring his a game.

For all you want to be Kings you will have to win the contest 3 Times to be king.;)
