First good buck of the year, survivor from last year

Checked my cams today and got my first good buck. Hes a tall 8 with decent mass. I quickly recognized him from last year, he put alot of bone on in the months since i last got pictures of him.

These are some pics of him last year:

And heres the pictures of him this year....hes starting to become a real stud:

That's correct. He broke them off in November, he has them in the 2nd pic from last year (October i believe)

Siman08,

Nice pictures and great looking deer. Question, what kind of attractant do you have near that stump? He seems to really like it.

Ive had everything that you could possibly buy with the exception of the trophy rock on that stump. Its been in use for 3 or 4 years now.

1small suggestion.....slide the camera to the right a little. Seems like he keeps approaching from the one side as you have a lot of pictures with just his head/neck. Looked like he had a huge body last year...let's see the big body this year!!

Actually no, this piece of property is part of 48 acres that myFather owns. I actually only hunted on it around 3 times last year, and i shot my doe their. Its gets a lot of ATV riders and my dad does a lot of logging on the property so the deer are pretty nocturnal on that piece.

I talked with a guy who lives on the next road over and showed him the pictures today and he said that hes seen the buck a number of times feeding in a bean field about 1/2 a mile from where the pictures were taken.

That's a nice looking buck there. It seems that bucks always seem to make a really noticeable jump in antler size from 2.5 to 3.5. He's showing up in daylight too, so that is definitely encouraging.
