Is it true??

I read somewhere on here that if you do actually hit and bust the nock off of an arrow then you might as well throw it away, b/c it's done. The arrow that the nock was destroyed that is.

Just check it very carefully, stick another nock on her and keep flingin'.

I still shoot the arrow if I bust a nock. Just check it carefully.

I don't know Mcbee, I guess if you just hit and chip you need to look at carefully. I have looked at mine and only seen one that actually looked like it had a crack.

I lost a few arrows this 3-d season fron nock hits, the arrow looked good untill you held the nock and flexed the arrow then you could see the fracture. I believe with arrows if your not sure toss them. It's safer.

You could probably get away with shooting it, but the safe thing to do would be to retire the arrow.

Always check your arrows for damage. I had one that had a hairline crack near the nock. It took two of us to find it.

RE: Is it true??

Well I have shot several times since then, I guess it's ok, I just don't see any damage and the cost of arrows is rediculous, I just want to throw a good out !!

happened to me last evening shooting. I thought I robin hooded it but took half the nock off. I had a spare that the insert was missing so I just switched nocks and it shoots fine.

If something happens thats usually what happens with me is the nock will come flying off. If the arrow don't tube the other one I've never had a problem besides the nock coming off or breaking the end of the arrow off I hit. Thats one nice thing about shooting Aluminums, you don't have to worry about an arrow blowing up when you shoot it if your slightly worried about something.

my second practice shot of last year centered a nock... definately not tryin to be robin hood... but it busted the piss out of the nock and splintered the arrow... it was an easton epic arrow

RE: Is it true??

I guess I will just chuck it. It ain't given me any problems so far, but I won't chance it.
