rocky boots

OK guys there is big boot store about the size of a normal walmart down the road.
I went there today to find a camo boot.

The guy said he wanted to measure my foot that he did not think i was a 15 4e .
He asked to see my shoe. He said that new balance is made in china and they make two size d and 4e he said the d and 4e are the same shoe with a different label. and that these boot were size right.
I tryed a 15 2e on one foot and a 15 4e on the other the 15 2e was alittle tight but fit ok the only problem i had was getting it on since it is waterproof the tongue is sawn to the shoe all the way up.

So i told him Friday i would come back and get the 2e
What worries me is if the shoe is tight what will it be like with a heavy sock on. what do youthink
the 4e was alittle loose but not much.

get the one that was a little loose....if ur boot is too tight with heavy socks on, it actually makes ur feet colder because blood circulation is cut off and the boot doesnt have room to create a little pocket of warm air

I'm a EEE myself...My whole life (I'll be 53 in August) shoe salesmen have tried to cram my foot into a shoe that doesn't fit...
Don't throw your money away, buy them too big, never too small, socks are cheap...

I wear 2 pairs of socks anyway, this keeps your feet from blistering, I learned that when I played football, holds true with boots as well...

the best thing to do is to try the shoe on with a sock that is similar to the one you will wear. In my experience of being a shoe salesman.....go with the bigger one if you cannot try it on with the sock. The 2e will stretch a little, but may not be enough

Go buy the heavy socks, put them on, THEN go try the boots out.

I have a pair 0f 1400 gram(winter bowhuntin)and all I did was wear my base socks then a wool sock over them and tried on 3 differant ones, walked out with the Deer Stalker II's but that was 8 or so yrs ago, still wear em with no regrets.....
Have another pair of Rocky Boots(light weight Extreme Elite)Iam breaking in for my Muly and speed goat hunt, hope they last like my old ones..

leather stretches way more than you think.....especially after the leather gets wet. I am betting that the camo is made out of cordura which is a tough material. Like i said before and others have stated......try the boots on with the sock you will be wearing.

Is the show store nameD "WORKING PERSONS BOOTS"? If so I just ordered a pair of bates duty boots much cheaper then the uniform stores in my area and cheaper then any other store on-line.

When getting new hunting boots (which I need) I goto the store and bring with me the sock and or socks I will wear while hunting, I always get at least one size bigger then what I need. You want space in the show so your feet can breath, if it is to tight you feet will freeze, and yes you need wool socks with 600gram boots, especially if your sitting all day, at least I know I do. Nothing sucks more then wet/cold feet

You'll be really sorry if you buy boots too tight. You have to have plenty of room for heavier sock and to allow you to move your foot/toes a little bit. If they're too tight sitting in a store, they'll be colder than hell on a cold day. I don't care how much insulation they have. You have to have room to move your toes.
