The smallest buck I would shoot would be a 7 pointer. He'd have to have 4 points on his left beam and 3 on the right. He'd have to score between 56"-63" and be at least 1 1/2 years old.

I'm with you Greg! I'm not shooting a 1/2 year old 7 pointer regardless[8D]

Any buck on the last day, if I have yet to fill the tag. I am picky through out the year, but when it comes to tag soup or a spike, my babies are going to eat deer meat.

I shot a buck in either 99 0r 00 that was a toad. Huge bodied, 4.5 year old or older and had hvy main beams with absolutely no tine length ..Litterally no tines at all.. 2-3 inches max and was a 5x5.. So for me its not about score.. its about him being and old fellar .. Its pretty easy in my parts to see when a young 1.5 or 2.5 comes out ..body antlers all the above give him away..

I'd base my shot on age not score

10 years ago, I hammered whatever came by. Nowadays, generally speaking, around 130" and 3.5 years old is my minimum goal.

As far as inches go, I will stray from the 130" minimum under two circumstances:
1.He hasunique looking headgear, and...
2. He's at least 3.5 years old.

I would shoot a 2.5 year old or youngerif:
1. He was injured.
2. He had a unique coat (albino or piebald)
3. He was 140" or better which is possible, but not likely where I hunt.

I put 90-100 becuase I haven't killed a buck with my bow yet. Only a doe... So yes I would be proud as ever to take a 90 inch deer, judge if ya want, but I'd be proud....
