Be honest, would you shoot this buck?

I hear so many times on here, "I would let him walk..." that I am beginning to believe everyone hunts in places with 6-8 good bucks every season. I don't. I'll be honest with you, the buck I am posting below would get a look from me at the right time of the season. I have slowly progressed to the point where I more than likely (90%) would not shoot this buck. I have been hunting 15 years, and 13 of those, I would have taken this type of buck in a heartbeat in the places I hunt.....would you?

I would, Brett......because he's a heckuva nice 6 for these parts.

Just being honest.....and I'd put him on the wall. He'd be one of the top 3 deer I've ever seen, from stand (in NC).

Even in my "no big buck region" I wouldn't shoot him. I'm at the point in my hunting career will I'll eat my tag (like I did in Alberta last year) before I'll take something that I don't think meets my desired rack size requirements, and he wouldn't meet them.

99%, I will not shoot it, unless I need meat and haven't shot any does and it's the final day of the season!

I probably would pass on him 90% of the time and have passed on larger bucks than him, but you never know, sometimes i just get the itch to pull the trigger.

2 years ago, absolutely. However, with the success I've had the last 2 years and the bucks I've seen more regularly I would say no. He is a nice 2.5 year old. I love those tall G2s.

Seriously I would. Around here that's a good kill. But it's situational. There are no managment rules anywhere near me. So the chance of that deer making it to another season is slim. Where you are the situation may be different. I will say those TALL G2's are sexy and I would really like to see what this deer could look like given another year. WOW that thought is nice.

I stick him in a heartbeat.... The only thing Im gonna let walk this year are spikes and the Little 4/6.... That would have to be a lot smaller for me to let it walk. I'd mount it too.

That guy would live thru archery and rifle seasons - doesn't meet Antler restrictions. (I probably would have had bow in hand when I first saw him coming though!)

If I'm not mounting him, I'm not shooting him, and I'm not mounting him. Good looking deer just not quite what I'm after.
