Ready for elk

I went scouting this weekend and found a real nice bull. I took the pics from 1/2 mile away in my spotting scope. I saw 4 bulls and 2 cows in the first 2 hours. I am starting to sleep less now just thinking about elk......

Perhaps you'll finally get one this year;):D

Wonder if one of those elk know that they're "dead on their feet already"??:D

Seeing that your from Idaho, I can see why. My parents used to live in Twin Falls, why did they move East I will never know.

Greg,

If you need a place to hang a hat or two for the evening, send me a PM. Those drives can wear a guy out.

Sounds like we have some serious elk hunters hitting the woods this year. That's pretty cool!

I put in for the left over drawing for Wyoming and I am anxiously waiting for the resluts to see if I drew. Thanks for posting the pictures, it makes it much easier on the wait[:@]

Huntingson,

If you go through my direction you are welcome to stop and say hi or even have a place to stay if you would like on your way to Colorado.

I would love to my friend, but we do not go through NE at all. Straight down 70 until we hit the bypass around Denver.I am not real certain on what the plans are for stops, etc. I think my dad has some crazy driving scheme in mind, but time will tell I guess;)I hope you draw a WY tag and bag a monster! Keep me posted.

I'll be leaving Pa. sept.15th for a 21 day tripe to montana,It's to warm for my liking to hunt the opener. The meat is alot eazier to deal after the middle of the month.Last year I shot one on the 23rd and it snowed that night ,it dosn't get any better then that to cool the meat.Good luck to all.
