Bowhunting with (1 package)..Keep it simple with Video Cams

Hey guys...

I have never liked quivers on my bow...they frusterate me...and I hate dealing with them in the stand.......and over the years I have used a rancho safari back quiver...Loved it...but I sent it away on Ebay.... This year I'm trying to find (1Package )that will allow me to enter the woods with my arrows, all my gear...(Water, range finders, knives, flashlights, etc) .....and most importantly, My CAMERA.

I came up with this hip quiver at Gander Mountain today...I think I found the right combo to enter the woods with a simple set-up that keeps everything together...and I can hang it all on one branch or tree hook....the quiver is mounted to the side of my pack...what do you think?

Looks simple to me.

MW

I have done nearly the same thing with my pack and a quicky quiver....I will post a pic tomorrow.

neat to see someone else use a home grown idea.

Looks pretty sweet.
Is that just secured to the pack with those two buttons, or is there something else on the lower end?

You're right gut shot...I will need to add something to the other end...I don't want it catching trees and flopping around...

I like this set up..I'm so tired of fumbling around in the tree with all my buttons and whistles....hanging stuff here and there....By the time I'm done I'm sweating like a maniac...makes me want to go back to a the long bow....well....maybe a few times this year...:)

If it works for you use it. Keeping it simple usually works!

Let me know how that works out, I may try to do something similar.

Looks good to me MW, I would look into possibly zip tying the top and bottom of the quiver to the pack to make it more secure. I'm with you, once I get strapped in off comes the quiver. Kudos for taking care of these issues in July rather than October.

I hear ya! Its amazing how important it is...to get down to business ASAP once you hit the stand. I'm really trying to fix the sweat factor this year. I have even started bungy cording alot of my top layers as I walk into my stand....
