Treelines and fencelines. The path between the corn and those. I like those where they come to an open area where they can see out.

RE: CORN CORN AND MORE CORN

I grew up hunting nothing but corn fields. It can be tough once the corn gets tall. The deer really have no reason to leave the corn other than for an occasional drink of water. And depending on the corn field, there may be puddles of drinkable water lying throughout. Now once it's cut, it's great. Deer will hit it hard picking up the loose corn left behind. Hopefully they'll leave a few rows up for you!

If you're not having any luck, try still hunting through the corn into the wind. Works great on windy days. Another trick I learnedis ifI see deer feeding around the edges or buffer grass,I watch their direction of travel from on stand, and if they're not heading my way, I'llquietly get down, circle aroundand get ahead of them, sneak2 or 3 rows back in and wait for them to feed their way past. Gotta' watch the wind though.

Good Luck!

Early in the season it can be tough but once the bucks start moving they have to cover ground. I hunted a fence line at the corner of the woods and corn and saw deer consistantly.
