How do you get your deer out of the woods
 

I drag them with my Hunter Safty System vest and safty linehooking the line around the neck if a doe and the antlers if a buck. If I'm with my partner we both drag and if we both have one down we drag one at a time, go back and get the other one. No way can a 4 wheeler or a cart or wheelbarrelor driveing out on a field with the truckbe used where we hunt, just good ol man power and it useually is a long drag, takes about an hour for the both of us to drag one out.

That is exactly how i do it . I ase my harness with the tether around the neck. the big boys are a extreme work out to get them out

I drag them with my partner to the neatest four wheeler trail and then go get the four wheeler. We drag them using a rope and one of those drag belts you can get at any outdoor store.

Where I hunt now it's good old fashion WORK, like you Rick. My spot now is a half mile or so back, so it's alot of work.When I had my old place, I had a 4-wheeler and I would just drive back and get them ...ahhhhh the good old days :)

The only devise I sometimes use other then grabbing the antlers is a deer sleigh. It works very nice.

I drag them to the nearest spotI can get to with my little hunting truck...Depending on the stand I am in and the distance they go depends on the drag!!!!!!

We have a few spots on our farm that are a LONG drag. For 20+yrs we did it the old fashioned way.

We now have 4 wheelers that we use to get them out. They're helpful, but actually it wasn't too bad by hand. Our camp is at the bottom of the mountain, so there was no dragging uphill. Our entire 400 acres is above our camp.:D

I have my game cart that I bought last year, it works great. When the ground is uneven, and can't use the cart, I have to drag it outlike most people.;)
