RE: Is NAP nitron brodheads good for me?
ORIGINAL: bigbulls Nitron. That tip isn't any more sharp or dull than any other tip on the market (blades excepted). It certainly isn't any more dull than the crossfire tip. It is designed that way to push bone out of the way for the blades. The nitron is 100% steel and a heck of a lot stronger than a crossfire and they cut a bigger hole then their size would indicate. Personally I don't like gimmicky stuff on a boradhead. I like steel over aluminum, I like a head with no moving parts, and I like a head with very sharp baldes. |
RE: Is NAP nitron brodheads good for me?
ORIGINAL: whitetailbowhunter I would go Crossfire because I can't stand the tip on the Nitron. Looks dull. how could you say one is dull but the other isnt? they look like the same tip to me pretty much. ![]() |

Does anybody on this site actually use a product befoer they bash it or try to sell it.
OutdoorRy.. The nitron is a great head. It is tough and very accurate. But I would never reccomend it to a young or rookie hunter. It simply doesn't leave a great blood trail.. and without that you could really get frustrated and quit on a trail much quicker than you should. I would strongly reccomend a head that leaves a better blood trail.. perhaps one thats similiar in size but adds an extra blade.. a muzzy or a slicktrick perhaps. |

The nitron is almost ideal for you. It penetrates very well, is super sharp, very durable and accurate. It is always one of the heads I recommed for bowhunters using lower KE equipment.
