Since I live here in the kootenai national forest I don't usually venture more than 10 miles. I do have a trip to eastern montana in sept for a few weeks and gas will be what it is. If I bust my ass all year round I can justify spending a couple hundred dollars to enjoy something I think about every day.

Granted 121553..I basically feel the same way. But alot of our membership is younger guys or College Guys just getting started career wise, they have the same desire to hunt and maybe less "fun cash".Thats more where I was thinking the pinch might be felt.

I hope that it doesnt affect me too much, I dont think i will have a problem having to pick and choose when I go, I wouldnt mind if the gas prices kept going the way they are right now though..

I will certainly change some things... My main hunting area is about 30 miles one way. A lot of days I would drive out for a morning hunt, go home do some work around the house or whatever and then go back out for the evening hunt. Will probably only make one trip per day....

Will also try and use our car more to make the trips back and forth...

That's kinda what I was thinking I can tell the wife that I'm just trying to save us money, I mean hey, we all have to make sacrifices right
