170 grain Snuffers

I just bought a 6 pack of 170 Grain Magnus Snuffer screw ins (the big ones, not the little Snuffer SS's).

They have a 113/32" cutting diameter. That should get me about 18% FOC, 465 grains, 270 fps, 75 lbs KE.

Anybody still use these Big Dogs?

I use the 125 grain Snuffers, they have an 1 1/4 cutting diameter. Yours are a little bigger then mine.;)

Not much will hurt that head, they are tough as nails!! The point on the end is like nothing I've ever seen on a broadhead. That sucker is sharp!!

White Crock sticks (fine). You sharpen two blades at a time. Some of them can be a bitch to sharpen. Thats the only bad thing about these heads is that you've got to touch them up good before you use them hunting.

I'm in the middle.........I have the 150gr screw in ones. :D

I actually killed my first buck with an original Rothaar Snuffer about 20 years ago.

I still use the Snuffer, from the 125's on my carbons, to the big orignals I got from Rodger over 20 years ago on my cedars.
Dont have time to post how I sharpen them now, but will later this afternoon, got to take the wife to Grayling to meet her Sister, its the girls weekend at Bear Lake.
