Not an astounding kudos for any of the mechanicals. In fact, they all were pretty flimsy if you ask me. I'd have like to see the Shuttle T tested too.:D

Any Mech is going to have a hard time with a metal drum[&:] There is no give and something is going to give.

I would have like to see a monotech

That was interesting. It certainly shows how some heads will hold up (or not) when encountering an unforgiving material.

The Slick Trick looked like it came through pretty unscathed.

Thanks for sharing.

My local archery shop showed me that video. I was originally asking them what they thought of the Rage broadheads, and they just started bashing on them. That is when they told me to watch the video. Definitely not a good showing for the Rage as it hardly even penetrated the front of the barrel. On another note, I was impressed with both the Piston Point and the G5 Tekan. Yes it did break off some blades, but they both penetrated both sides of the barrel. I know there are a lot of Rage lovers and haters (I'm neither as I've never tried them yet), but this video makes me lean towards the Piston Point (Undertaker) or Tekans for mechanicalsdue to the better penetration.

Doesn't matter how much penetration you have if the blades are gone!

Honestly......

How much water do you think a "barrel v. a whitetail's body" "test" holds?

The head I shoot .......propelled with the force my bow produces.......combined with the knowledge that the head will produce massive hemmorhaging......is overkill for the prey I'm seeking to kill.

That's really all I need to know.

I know that this is not a perfect test, but I don't think that the blades would be as badly damaged on an animal as compared to the barrel (just my opinion). On the other hand, if you get that type of penetration on a barrel (which would be to the extreme) imagine what you would get on an animal.

RE: Broadhead Test

What you're also NOT getting from this test is the actual damage that would be done on something that ANY Bh could easily blow through.

Short of a deer's shoulder knuckle (that I don't think ANY BH will penetrate)....there's really nothing in there to stop ANY BH.

So look at it logically. How much damage is BH "A" gonna do on it's way through v. BH "B".

That's ALL I'm really interested in......Out of MY setup............
