Just beginning bowhunting... suggestions please

Hi guys, I'm new to the site. My wife and I are moving to Tallahasse from West Palm Beach and that means new hunting opportunities. I've long been interested in bowhunting, but never had the time or area to hunt. All that is changing and I'd really like to beging bowhunting. Problem is, I haven't released an arrow in years...

Can you guys let me know what questions I need to ask myself before I get into this? I haven't purchased a bow yet, so suggestions please. I had read I needed to get the bow sized. Am I correct? What things do I need to learn in order to begin bowhunting?

Thanks again!

I would definately recommend finding a reputable pro shop that can help you get "fitted" to a bow. Once you know your draw legnth, then you want to shoot as many bows as possible and look for the one that feels most natural to YOU.....That's where you start...Then you practice, practice, practice, etc..etc...
This is a good site to get some questions answered, there is a lot of knowledge here. You will find guys that are serious competition shooters, pro shop owners, avid hunters, anyway you get the idea...Good luck and welcome to the site as well as bowhunting....

Pro shop is great advice.

- Find a house with enough space to practice in the backyard at home.
- Start looking for property to hunt as soon as you arrive.
- Welcome!!!
