Have you checked out that "Draw lock" contraption. It keeps your bow drawn back so all you have to do is aim and squeeze. Basically makes your compound a x-bow.

RE: Is There Any Remedy?

Well, I took yesterday off and got out the old Physical Therapy torture devices I used for a year after the surgery. I stretched and then worked the shoulder until it was showing signs of aching. Iced it down for 30 minutes afterwards and took an anti inflammatory. Last night I rubbed it down with Biofreeze (best stuff out there). This morning I shot 4 arrows after stretching and the first 3 were on target and the 4th, low and right. Came back in and iced it down again. More Biofreeze tonight and we'll try again Thursday after I get my dog back from surgery.

I am looking at the Arm-A-Bar and hopefully I'll be back to work soon so I can afford to buy it.

Thank you for asking.

RE: Is There Any Remedy?

how much i hate to say ti why not stick with a crossbow i understand the feeling you get when you bow hunt
but no shame in making the switch with your proplem

this jan i had knee surgery due to the fact i fell in nc two years ago and tore the cart. in my right knee.
After sitting in my stand and hiking i cam to know that. I went to the doctor after some phys. therepy which did nothing.
They did a mri and yeap two tears one infront and one in back.
So after going to the surgen i had surgery.

It did help alot but it still hurt just differnt then before not as bad. And more of a constaint pain the a severe pain every so often.

Good luck and i hope everything works out

If I have to give up the bow, I will go back to muzzleloading with iron sights. I will not go back to shooting a crossbow. Even though I spent a fortune on the one I have, it will hang on the wall except for coyote and the occasional Wabbit. The dang thing has too much power. I was getting 6" penetration on the target at 100 yards. I can't explain adequately the ill feeling I got when I killed that old buck with it and I don't want that feeling again.

AF H, and practice smart. Some of my best practice sessions have only been 4 arrows, some less. It's not a marathon.

Oh he comes clean, finally. After all the hoopla over your little win, I heard nothing when I beat you B.U.C.K to _____! ;)

I take my time to see where each shot hits. Shoot, scope, pickup the bow again, go through the shot mentally, draw it back, aim, shoot again.

Shoot, it takes me more time to get set up than it does to shoot 4 arrows.

I definitely wouldgo to Lower poundage.

After a fall and a busted up shoulder I had to hunt with 40# one year until things knitted and I got my strength back.
