If I worked there, I would feel duty bound as a hunter to help the company manage the herd within their security zone. Naturally, I wouldn't enjoy it one bit. ;);)
It's 7700 acres of free hunting, fer cryin' out loud! I'd consider it part of my employee benefit package. |

Ihunted with walker dogs on a lease that was only 8000 acres with a river swamp on three sides. So there should be no reason you cain't still hunt that piece and feel good about it--And like ArthurP said its your duty.

I would never "high fence hunt" for deer. . .but when I say that, I'm talking about private ranches with"grown" deer and huge profits.Your circumstances are very different.

This is not what I would call a High Fence Hunt. You have a huge range of land and a natural deer herd that has not been modified with trophy deer lines and managed for trophy hunting. You have a secured area that has a contained natural herd, go for it and slam a good buck!

7800 acres. That is 12.1875 square miles. You might have to do a lot of work to get one on the ground. Go for it. I don't think anyone can rap on you for doing it fairly, especially since you are doing it all yourself with no guide.

i personally would go it is just like going to an outfitter but guiding yourself at least with this you have to scout it and prepare everything yourself and i think it would be fun try it out and who knows once you get that first big one you might never go back

To me, that sounds like a fair chase hunt because of the size of the land involved. I think you would be crazy not to take advantage of that situation.;)

I'd hunt it and not think twice. As others have said, not your typical high fence op.

Another thing is that they don't allow the whole area to be hunted, they've broken it down into areas.
