I use a super fine white stone and very fine emory cloth. I try to keep the same angle for each stroke to maintain a consistant edge.

400 grit sandpaper on a mousepad

Followed by blue magic polishing compound on canvas webbing

And finally stropping on a piece of leather.

I went to military college.... and while I earned a Bachelor's in business I also left with a masters in making metal shiny.

No, it's not ceramic but that would probably work too. This stone is very smooth.

My stone has: SHB-14 Hard Select Arkansas
Made in USA by Norton

I've used a Diamond cut stone, they work well for hard steel and rough cut broadheads. The final touch I use white crock sticks. They are the ticket in my opinion. My heads from just the weight of them will cut my skin when sliding them on my hand. Then you know you did a good job!;)

70% of the people I believe do not have a clue on how to sharpen broadheads. Its good that you ask Dan. Hopefully people will check this thread out.
