Stabilizer Question

I have a 7" Octane quiver on my General and I just bought the Lakewood bowfile case for it. The only thing is that I cannot fit the bow in there with the stabilizer on. I have the string/sling you put your wrist through on it too.

So by taking the stabilizer off everytime I put it in the case, the wrist strap comes off too. I was wondering what to put on there so I can leave the wrist strap on every time I take the stabilizer off?

You can buy a quick disconnect for about $20.

You can twist the stab. a couple times .....turn it...and it should fit in your case. Worked great for me with a 10" stabilizer.

RE: Stabilizer Question

I will not have a stabilizer on my hunting bow this year. I was thinking about how the stabilizer works, creating weight on the front of the bow which makes you work against it and thus, less up/down movement while aiming. Well, if you are in a treestand and aiming down then the weight is no longer "out front", it is at some angle below parallel and now you would lose the effectiveness of the stabilizer. So, I decided I would not use one, at least for hunting out of treestands. Try shooting your bow without the stabilizerwhen you are up in a treestand and see if you even need it on there. Maybe you won't need to pack it in the bow case :D.
