It's not a "how too" but it is one of the most interesting reads plus has a ton of information on and about the whitetail deer. You'll definately learn.

ORIGINAL: LouisianaTomkat Bowhunting Pressured Whitetails/Eberhart Don Higgins has some good points, but lost my vote when I found out he raises penned (genetiacally altered) whitetails for sale to high fence operations. [:@] |

Not a hunting book but... "A Sand County Almanac" by Aldo Leopold

If you like reading about hunting, then I'd pick up any of the books by Peter Hathaway Capstick.... author of "Death In The Long Grass" and other such titles.... I've read them all... they are fantastic.... and they will keep you absolutley riveted to every page.
If you want another really good read... my favorite author is Carl Hiaasen. There is one book of his... an ironic murder mystery based on a crooked southern preacher who cheats in bass tournaments titled "Double Whammy" that I'm sure you'll love. His characters are just outrageous, and I find myself zipping through a book of his in less than 3 or 4 days because I simply can't leave it alone! |

I was thnking about some of the great reads I've had in the past, Ed.....and I can tell youtwo that you've probably already seen the movie.....but the books are10X better than the films:
'A time to kill' - Can't recall the author 'The perfect storm' (The first line of this book says something like..... :"I could never understand when a TV weather reporter states a storm has moved 'Safely' out to sea". - Sebastian Junger |
