I got about a half dozen bee/hornet/wasp stings under my belt, and maybe another dozen above my belt.

As a kid I wasn't always a nice boy so alot of those stings were well deserved.

Last sting was a few years ago when a yellowjacket flew into the truck as I was driving. I saw the thing fly right in through the driver's window so I leaned forward to dodge it. I then lost sight of it in that split second so Iimmediately turned to my right to see where the bugger went. I didn't see it anymore so I leaned back and settled into my seat only to discover where the yellowjacket went. I would've paid to see my reaction.

There just HAS to be a good outcome from all these postings!! I will be putting up my ladder stand around September 1st., (its brand new and not a cheape), so I'm thinking "What the hell can I put on the seat of my stand to ward off bees AND/OR squirrels...without causing the deer to get skittish over the intended application"? Someone out there must have a reasonable and effective answer....I hate to take the seat off...but, maybe thats what we should all do. Any suggested alternatives?

Im only slightly alergic to stings. The worst i had was while hanging a game cam. I stepped on a nest of ground hornets. I found out i can still run fast in my fourtys

I was quail hunting in SW Arizona...walking down a canal, my dad on the other side when I was stung over 100 times by bees...me and the shotgun ended up in the canal...and later my face and my right arm looked double sized...was hospitalized for 2 days over that ordeal...I was 16 when that happened....and today at 52if one bites me...tends to make me real sick.
